چکیده مقاله:

Background: The presence of immune system within the female reproductive tract is increasingly being recognized as an important element for maintaining host protection and promoting reproductive functions. The Toll-Like Receptors (TLRs) family plays an important role in innate immune responses against microbial pathogens within the genital tract. These receptors recognize distinct pathogen-associated molecular patterns (PAMPs) that are expressed on infectious agents. To date, 10 members of the TLR family have been identified in human. TLR5 can recognize bacterial flagellin, which is a component of bacterial flagella known to be a virulence factor. In the female reproductive tract an Ectopic Pregnancy (EP) is a complication of pregnancy in wich the fertilized egg implants someplace other than the uterus, most often in the Fallopian Tube (FT). So our objective in this study is investigation TLR5 expression in FTs carrying EP. Materials and Methods: Biopsies from Infundibulum, Ampulla and Isthmus of FT were obtained from women who underwent hysterectomy and salpingectomy for EP. Human chorionic gonadotropin (HCG) was injected in14 days leading up to hysterectomy to produce a state of pseudo-pregnancy. RT-PCR was used to test the existence of TLR5 gene in these sections. FTs of ectopic pregnant compared with FTs of pseudo-pregnant by using Q-PCR for TLR5 gene. Results: Existence of TLR5 in different parts of the FT carrying EP and women with pseudo-pregnancy has been shown using RT-PCR. Q-PCR was shown relative TLR5 expression in Infundibulum, Ampulla and Isthmus of FT carrying EP is lower than FT with pseudo-pregnancy. Conclusion: Reduction of TLR5 expression in Infundibulum, Ampulla and Isthmus of FT carrying EP indicates that TLRs have important role in outbreak of EP.

P-159: Immunological Aspect of Ectopic Pregnancy Genes

Background: Toll-like receptors (TLRs) play a crucial role in early host defense against invading pathogens. Recognition of some bacterial pathogen associated molecular patterns (PAMPs) is mediated by TLR2, 4 and 5 while TLR3 distinguishes double stranded RNA. Interactions between the immune system and female reproductive system have important consequences for fertility and reproductive health....

P-64: Innate Immune System Importance in Ectopic Pregnancy with Emphasis on TLR4 Gene

Background: In an ectopic pregnancy (EP) the egg does not reach to the uterus, but instead implants somewhere outside it, usually in fallopian tube. In most cases the exact cause of an ectopic pregnancy is unknown but it is often a result of some sort of damage to the fallopian tube. The tube may have become blocked or narrowed by previous surgery or infection. An active immune system need to r...

Risk factors assoicated with increased the chance of ectopic pregnancy

Introduction: Ectopic Pregnancy (EP) is one of the most common causes of maternal mortality. The aim of this study was to evaluate the risk factors that increase the chances of ectopic pregnancy. Materials and Methods: This case-control study was performed in the hospitals of Shahroud University of Medical Sciences in 2018 by census method. Pregnant women who were hospitalized with suspected ec...
